Teriyaki Boyz feat Kanye West (I Still Love H.E.R.)
Since the new Kanye West album is such a clusterfuck of shit, we decided to go back a few years and showcase this collabo between Japan’s Teriyaki Boyz and Kanye. It’s like the exact opposite of 808s and Heartbreak.
Yeah, we’re still obsessed with Parker Lewis Can’t Lose. While Corin Nemec (aka Parker) isn’t returning any of our emails, we’ve knocked up a retrospective on the television series for the forthcoming Team Evil #5. We might post it up online before then if we get desperate. Or not.
Seriously though, the whole album (with one exception), is Kanye doing slow, boring, emo nonsense to a sparse electronic backing. It sounds like an old man staggering towards his grave. I liked the previous three albums. This is awful.
Street Fighter IV is due out on home consoles February 20. If you can’t wait that long you can blow some cash on the associated ‘action figures’ from Revoltech. They stand 10cm tall, go for about $18 (US) and are pretty win. You can pre-order them shits from your favourite import website.
Apparently Leonard Decaprio’s production company have picked up the film rights to a live-action re-make of Akira and Ninja Scroll. Decaprio won’t feature in either film, he’s just on board as a producer. We’re ‘cautiously optimisitic’ about all this. Might be worth it just for a real life version of Kaneda’s motorbike. And the associated merchandise. Or a complete piece of shit…
You know your life has hit rock bottom when your photo makes it onto the ‘Wall of Shame’ at the local convenience store. After all, there’s being junkie loser, and then there’s being a junkie loser and having a photo above the counter at your local 7-11 to prove it.
