Louis Vuitton and Japan’s Takashi Murakami recently got together to launch a new leather goods range. Just for the hell of it, they created some limited edition plush figures to mark the occasion. If you’ve got money to spare you can buy some from Cliff Edge.

Drake + Lil Wayne – Every Girl

A bit of casual misogyny from Drake and Lil Wayne, this is the follow up to Best I Ever Had.

Beat TV

Tim Hamilton thinks we’re miserable assholes who hate everything. He’s wrong. We just hate MOST things. Off the top of our head: Moby, ‘nu school breaks’, gypsy bands, stupid people, television, Rove, Al Gore, those stupid fuckin’ shit lightbulbs that Al Gore forced everyone to use, PETA, homebrand food, Communists, Socialist who may as well be Communists, $120 computers, The Chasers War on Comedy, parking fines, etc, etc.

One thing we do like is this week’s episode of Beat TV – produced by Tim Hamilton. Watch it here.

Disney meets Steampunk

Long story short: There’s a new Wii game on the way from Warren Spector. He’s the guy who made Deus Ex on PC (which everyone loved). The new game is called Epic Mickey and seems to combine Disney with with a dystopian, steampunk aesthetic. That’s what these leaked images from Fred Gambino seem to suggest. Also, there’s a mecha-zombie-Goofy. In terms of culture mashing, this is pretty far gone…

Our buddy Wah has finally got his new website up. To celebrate, he reconstructed the entire alphabet in his own tits & ass kinda way. As you do… If his stuff looks kinda familiar it’s because he illustrated the cover for Team Evil #3 and was / is behind Peeple clothing. Anyway, check out his latest and greatest isht here.

Where we review every album ever…

Reviews | 25-07-2009

…Or the ones that came across our desk in the last month or so. To be honest, it’s fairly slim pickings. If any record company people reading this want to send us stuff get in contact. We write proper reviews (ie. where we don’t slag everything off) for a million proper magazines and websites.

Freeland - Cope (Marine Parade)
Do you really want to buy an album from Adam Freeland? Really? Really, really? Nothing on here is as good as that Fear (is a Mind Killer) track so maybe just listen to that on repeat instead.
2.5/5 (add an extra 1 point if you don’t obsessively hate breaks / nu school breaks)

boots

Little BootsHands (Warner)
New in Town is massive – a proper pop single that everyone has to like. The rest is pretty ‘meh’.

The DJ (J Period) does an admirable job of trying to bury the rubbish tracks he has to include.

Ugly DucklingAudacity (Hydrofunk / MGM)
Hip hop for people who don’t like hip hop. A decent enough effort for three crackers from LA.

We don’t care what Tim Hamilton says, this has screamo elements. Happy screamo, but still screamo.

Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland trailer

Articles | 24-07-2009

Dunno, this could be okay, but we’re not really feeling Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. Also, the Cheshire Cat looks hella creepy. We’ll see it, obviously, but this has a lot live up to compared to the classic Disney version.
