Oh hai, this is Nicki Minaj. She’s signed to Weezy’s Young Money label. We actually quite like her. She seems like she’s got some personality / would be cool to hang out with. That always helps. Her debut album is due sometime in 2010 – and she hasn’t even released a proper single yet. So yeah, super grimey no budget video (above), is all you get for the time being.
Are there any other female rappers out there at the moment worth listening to? We’re drawing a blank. Foxy Brown and Lil Kim are both over, Trina was never any good to begin with, Da Brat is crazy 90s, Eve hasn’t released an album in eight years and, well, we can’t think of anyone else. Fuck it, Nicki Minaj wins.
