The Lone Wolf and Cub movies are sort of a big deal. Released throughout the ’70s, they tell the story of Ogami Ittō, a Japanese assassin who travels around the country (with his infant son) killing pretty much everyone. And we mean everyone. 1974’s White Heaven in Hell still holds the world record for the single greatest body count by an individual in a movie. 150 frags! Go Ittō!

While that’s great and all, the movies have also provided the Wu Tang Clan with plenty of samples. 1980s Shogun Assassin pretty much set the tone for GZA’s classic Liquid Swords. Let’s take a look.
