So, so ridiculously classic. And (depending how you look at these things) an excellent anti-drug message.

The peoples over at Hood Internet have compiled a new mixtape that brings together the formerly segregated worlds of hip hop and chillwave. While not all of it works – MF DOOM and chillwaves is a bit of a stretch – the next level shit really is some ‘next level shit’. Anyways, it’s free to download / stream so you’ve got nothing to lose. Get it here.
PS. This is our favourite shit right here. Lil Wayne and Birdman meet Washed Out at a ‘things that white people like’ convention.
It’s been a while since we were really, really, really impresssed with a videoclip. This is amazing…
I’ve pitched an article idea about Mariah Carey. Want to write a thing about her excesses. Like that story about her demanding fresh kittens delivered to her hotel rooms so she can … dunno, look at them? Eat them? Feel like Mariah is a throwback to an older generation of ridiculous musicians that doesn’t really exist these days.
On that note, you can read this week’s Trashbaggery installment over at Lifelounge. Worth it just for lil Bobbi and his ‘dandy walking’ adventures… Shit is real.

I’ve got four hours… I’m basically fucked. Still, at least I have a sweet, sweet soundtrack. Jazzy Jeff and Mick Boogie have compiled an incredible Summer mixtape (‘cos it’s summer in the northern hemisphere, duh). It features everyone ever – Jay-Z, Pharcyde, Ice cube, Kool and The Gang, Roy Ayers, Tribe Called Quest, Dilla, etc, etc – and you can download it absolutely free from here. Do it now.
Turns out the original Iron Man cartoon from the 1960s is AMAZING. Watch. It’s only like 8 minutes and will totally make your day…
[Updated. Because I'm an idiot].
Feel like I need a holiday. Weeks of cold and rain and working and not enough sleep is getting to me. Would probably have to go somewhere without Internet access to really relax. Granted, the withdrawl would be horrible, but maybe I’d have an epithany and decide that a life in some backward-ass country town operating a local ferry is ‘the real me’. Like some Northern Exposure isht…
